V.Shatz. Jaunjelgava 1800-1941.

This book, published in Russian in 2023, is a comprehensive description of the economic, cultural, religious and educational life of the community from its foundation at the beginning of the 19th century. Special chapters report on the decline of the community as a result of the First World War, and some family histories show how the community was scattered all over the world in 1915-1920.

On 248 pages, hundreds of documentary and press sources are cited and many dozens of illustrations are shown.
